Become a Member of the Trust

The River Wey Trust began with people who wanted to protect the heritage of the river: the old water meadows, the mills and the traces of the farming, industry and everyday life that grew up along its banks. That care for the river's story is still at the heart of what we do, alongside looking after the living river. Membership supports practical work, from restoring habitat to testing water quality and sharing what we find, so that more of us can answer the questions : "Is my river healthy?" and "Is it safe to swim?"

Members are the first to hear about volunteer days, monitoring sessions, walks and talks ... and an afternoon in wellies is the best part of the month. However much time you have to give, you'll be part of a friendly local group looking after the Wey's past and its future.
